Overview
Position: Sr. Analyst - Metals Sourcing, Wieland Metals, Inc., Wheeling, Illinois
Duties: Own the effective execution of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and supply chain planning processes within RA (Wieland Business Unit Rolled Products North America) plants to provide best in class service in the areas of Pre-Material sourcing and vendor management. Partner with Sales, Planning & Operations to determine appropriate levels of pre-material inventory to support customer demand across RA, leveraging MRP best practices and systems. Manage the relationship with and effective management of sourcing defined materials from internal and external partners in a global setting. Effectively determine correct SKU level items to source across a global network. Responsible for system wide inventory and sourcing to support our customer demand, inventory and service goals. Key process owner and super user within our SAP systems for assigned task, and will play a key role within Project WISE (SAP implementation) at several sites in the areas of MM (materials management) & PP (production planning) during this BU wide project. Own partner relationships (internal and external) to support sourcing needs. Manage vendor relationships in the areas of service, quality, delivery & cost for pre-material purchases. Will serve as the main contact with these vendors and represent BU RA professionally and responsibly. Support Organizational Strategies via team collaborations to identify and implement system level improvements that achieve BU RA performances targets in the key areas of service levels, inventory investments, and operational efficiencies.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or related field. 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning or supervision. 3 years of combined experience in manufacturing processes and product flow in an industrial format. 1 year of experience effectively engaging across different national and cultural barriers. 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. 2 years of SAP ERP experience in materials management. 1 year of experience in inventory planning in a manufacturing environment. Strong excel skills including using advanced formulas. 2 years of combined experience in determining stock levels, safety stock, and working with bill of material.
