Job Description
: Comply with all safety practices and procedures. Check equipment for safety prior to operating. Skilled in the use of traditional tool room hand tools such as files, scrapers and grinders to final fit or repair tooling to standards in an efficient manner. Analyze measured prints and construct tooling, punches, pins, die sections, etc. Operate all standard tool room equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, N.C. machines, drills, shaper, EDM, TIG welding, etc. Work closely with manufacturing personnel to build, modify or “debug” production dies/molds to operate safely and produce quality parts consistently. Familiar with all precision measuring equipment found in a tool or inspection area. Acquainted with the different stamping materials, their properties, tensile strength, ductility, spring back formulation for bending, tonnage and spring travel. Understanding of electronic equipment for dies protection as well as procedures for die set-up and operation. Operate power lift trucks and cranes. Comply with LMC Export Compliance Manual.
