Job Description

Molex, located in Monee, IL, is looking to bring on board a Manufacturing Engineer. As part of this role, you will take charge of developing, enhancing, and implementing manufacturing processes and systems, aiming to boost production efficiency and elevate the quality of current products. Additionally, you will actively contribute to projects and the rollout of new products. The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of manufacturing processes, a background in process improvement, and the capability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

Molex's business in Monee, IL focuses on being experts in busbars, which are crucial for power distribution in today's electrically driven world. The company applies decades of busbar experience to collaborate with customers, offering feedback on designs, recommending solutions, and providing prototyping services. Additionally, Molex offers UL-certified off-the-shelf grounding jumpers to support the safe management of high-power applications. The company's goal is to enhance product performance, optimize manufacturing processes, and accelerate product development by establishing close partnerships with customers.

What You Will Do
* Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes to improve quality, reduce costs, streamline process and drive safety and performance production efficiency and quality.
* Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process maps.
* Work with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support.
* Participate in new product development projects to ensure manufacturing processes are designed for high-quality and efficient production.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
*Implement Lean principles and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
* Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement projects, including Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 5S initiatives.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
* Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience
* Experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies

What Will Put You Ahead
* Experience with manufacturing processes and systems related to heavy gauge metal stamping, forming, and CNC machining
* Experience designing/implementing automated production processes* Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is desirable.
