The Database Analyst Senior is a leading member of the Sales and Marketing Insights team within the Marketing and Sales organization. This new position is primarily responsible for the development and delivery of new, adhoc data models and tabular reporting to support the entire Insights team as well as adhoc requests from across RSM. This role will be seen as a SME for accessing and manipulating client and prospect data and will work closely with Insights team members, Certified Analysts throughout RSM, and will be expected to partner closely with members of the IT, Finance, HR, and other centralized functions focused on reporting. The preferred candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work, collaborate and coordinate between technical and non-technical people within the company. A focus on creating more efficient and effective methods to generate insights on business performance is essential for success in this role.

Essential Duties:
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for the design, configuration, support and maintenance of Microsoft SQL and Power BI data models, leveraging Databricks. Partners with teams across Insights to make data available and performative for Power BI reports and adhoc analytics and research.
Develops a SME-level understanding of enterprise data systems and third-party data-providers used by RSM to conduct analysis, monitor trends in performance, and find new sales and marketing opportunities.
In partnership with IT, establishes and maintains up-to-date documentation of data models and Power BI models to ensure continued operability and access to data.
Participates in scheduled sprint meetings to plan and coordinate on stories in partnership with the Insights team.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent work history/experience (Required)
MS SQL Certifications (Preferred)

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL and supporting technologies (Required)
Adept in the development and design of databases (Required)
Experience building and deploying Data Models in Power BI (Required)
Familiarity with and experience manipulating data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Workday, and other enterprise systems (Required)
Experience with writing scripts to import data using third-party APIs and combining with first-party data housed in Data Lakes (Required)
Experience using Databricks and/or Azure (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of SQL database experience (Required)
Strong MS SQL troubleshooting and data automation experience (Required)
Power BI Experience (Required)
Self-management and delivery of projects (Required)
MS SQL Certifications (Preferred)
Experience in professional services or B2B firm within a regulated industry (Preferred)

LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Experience managing multiple priorities and projects (Required)
Excellent written and oral presentation skills (Required)
Experience educating technical and non-technical teams on data modeling outputs and structure (Preferred)
