Job Summary:
Conducts tests and procedures in the cognitive neuroscience lab; sets up and operates polysomnographic equipment as well as wireless sleep tech for at-home studies; records observations and measurements and collects and compiles data in a research lab; requires a practical understanding of a number of standard scientific techniques.
This is a term position with an end date of 12/31/2025.Opportunity for renewal will be based on performance and available funding.
Specific Responsibilities:
Follows pre-defined protocols, policies, procedure, regulations, Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices and conducts standard and repetitive experiments and completes basic trouble-shooting techniques.
Sets-up, operates and maintains standard lab equipment.
Other (please specify):
scheduling and running polysomnographic studies in the lab, and sleep studies in the home, with healthy, adult volunteers
Records test results and may maintain databases.
Completes standard and routine clerical duties such as copying, filing, data entry, word processing, etc.
Completes other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)
HS diploma or equivalent and some basic science courses is required.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.) Knowledge of general cognitive neuroscience theories and methods.
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions as required by research protocols.
Demonstrated computer skills, including simple programming, spreadsheets, and basic computations.
Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Knowledge of polysomnographic methods.
Target hiring range for this position will be between $18.00-$20.45 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
