What You'll Do
As the Environmental Specialist, you will coordinate federal and multi-state implementation of environmental compliance and company policies and programs related to environmental management systems and sustainable development. You will be responsible for providing compliance assistance with environmental regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Other duties include:
Oversees and/or performs the work necessary to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and attainment of business values and objectives
Becomes involved in the design and development of new facilities, structures, processes, and projects and makes environmental recommendations accordingly.
Prepares, maintains, and updates environmental plans, permits, and procedures.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry.
Demonstrate a commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
Stay abreast of environmental regulations to assist compliance efforts and serve as a technical resource for the company. Take note of any regulatory changes impacting the company and work with all levels of management to resolve existing or potential issues.
Complete, or work with company personnel on any needed environmental permitting applications, renewals and modifications or other document submissions that may be required.
Maintain and/or enhance database(s) pertaining to environmental permit compliance of company operations.
Prepare and review document submissions to state and federal agencies to monitor compliance status.
Provide technical advice and/or on-site support during federal or state inspections.
Conduct internal audits and environmental site assessment to ensure compliance with Dyno Management Standards and local, state, and federal regulations.

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related discipline such as chemistry, biology or engineering required.
3+ years' experience with environmental regulations relating to manufacturing and/or chemical industry.
Computer skills and abilities (Microsoft Office Suite, SAP) are required.
Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.
