Senior Director, Corporate Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals Ratings - Fitch Ratings

Role Overview:

Fitch Ratings' U.S. and Canada Corporates Rating group is looking for a Senior Director to join our healthcare and pharmaceuticals team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating corporate debt issuers while contributing to Fitch's reputation for timely and insightful research that informs debt capital market decisions.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have extensive corporate credit experience, with strong capabilities in financial analysis and modeling;
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of fixed income/debt capital markets, with varied experience in both investment grade and leveraged finance a plus;
  • Have a network of professional relationships within the debt capital markets and healthcare/pharmaceutical industries;
  • Have proven success in nurturing talent and developing junior analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover a portfolio of 20-30 healthcare and pharmaceutical debt issuers across investment-grade and speculative-grade ratings;
  • Articulate Fitch's credit views and sector outlook in meetings, conference calls, and industry roundtables, as well as in written research, in an engaging and dynamic manner;
  • Be a highly visible presence for the external stakeholders in the ratings process, including industry management teams, private equity sponsors, buy-side and sell-side analysts, and the media;
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment in the healthcare and pharmaceuticals team, and contribute to the overall ethos of the U.S. and Canada Corporates rating team in a manner that prioritizes and advances Fitch's strategic goals.



Requirements:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in a capital markets and/or credit analysis role which must include some coverage or knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors;
