Job Description
Grow with us as a Senior Manager, Trade and Sales Strategy on the Away From Home Commercial Strategy team. You will be joining a high-performing and collaborative team and play a key part in helping the organization grow. This position can be in the Greater Chicago area or Battle Creek, MI.
As an influential member of the Away From Home Team, you will lead the development of the Foodservice trade strategy, help us generate profitable growth, and drive efficiency plans to deliver our business objectives. You’ll also collaborate seamlessly with external customers and drive strategic, sustainable growth alongside cross-functional teams within AFH. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing+ Trade Strategy – With the support of direct reports, you will develop, implement, and communicate the trade strategy and plans . You will ensure customer contracts and initiatives are in line with AFH channel objectives, are profitable, well organized, and properly executed.
+ Sales Strategy – Builds customer sales and performance-based trade allocation models to support customer business plan initiatives. Provides guidance and direction to the sales team to ensure trade dollars are driving performance and profitable growth aligned with the strategic business plan.
+ Drive Engagement – Through your strong partnership with the cross-functional teams (Sales, Commercial Strategy, Sales Finance, Category Strategy, Revenue Growth Management), you’ll establish trade pricing and promotion principles and guidelines to ensure programs are fiscally sound and support customer and channel growth plans.
We’re Looking for Someone With+ Experience working in Foodservice Trade or analytical business role with a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company
+ Technical proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
+ Demonstrated experience in Food Service or Convenience market segments and customer dynamics
+ High analytical skills and demonstrates sound business judgment and confidence
+ A growth mindset, ability to lead, align, manage and resolve conflict, and work in an ever changing environment
