The Retail Industry Principal will build strategic and ongoing partnerships with Zebra’s marketplace including both customers and partner ecosystem. The Industry Principal is responsible for providing industry expertise and thought leadership to prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders around Zebra’s Workcloud Forecasting & Analysis Software. The role creates and delivers high impact presentations focused on customer challenges and Zebra’s value proposition. As required, leverages relationships with other business units and/or external partners to recommend solutions. Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers; leads customer presentations and value proposition creation (ROI). Considered an industry-wide expert and thought-leader in Retail. Absorbs industry intelligence and translates back to internal teams to influence and guide strategies, product & service investments, and marketing spend. This is a remote role that can be located anywhere within the US, however qualified applicants must reside near a major metro/airport. 75% + nationwide travel to be expected.

Responsibilities:

+ Acts as pursuit manager on key opportunities working collaboratively with sales, pre-sales and services to position the right solutions to new prospects and existing customers.

+ Works closely with pre-sales in the discovery phase to uncover differentiated value drivers.

+ Provides key objectives for demonstrations and works with sales/pre-sales to align on demo flow.

+ Generates and presents business case analyses (typically conducted collaboratively with prospects/customers) to highlight the unique and differentiated value and ROI of our solutions.

+ Understands key industry challenges and trends, connects those to the customers’ unique business dynamics, and translates that to the appropriate Zebra solutions.

+ Creates industry and customer specific messaging to support sales cycles.

+ Understands Zebra solutions offerings, and those of our competitors, at a depth to be able to communicate our differentiation and how it ties to unique value.

+ Assesses how existing and emerging Zebra solutions can support supply chain efficiencies and transformation.

+ Develop and fosters a strong relationship as a trusted industry and solution expert with customers in areas such as business, finance, and IT.

+ Demonstrates strong supply chain and technology domain expertise – Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, Supplier Collaboration, Business analytics / Reporting and Infrastructure Technologies.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

+ 8+ years of industry-specific experience working internally within or in a consultant capacity with customers in the Retail vertical

+ Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GTM best practices within the Retail vertical

+ Ability to demonstrate understanding of sales, marketing, finance, and business processes related to GTM programs in the Retail industry

+ Must be based within the US. Strong preference on qualified applicants residing in a major metropolitan area and/or near a major airport. 75% travel to be expected.

+ Expertise in Demand Forecasting highly sought after

+ Ability to quickly engage senior-level executives at current client companies by building relationships, establishing credibility, conducting substantive content discussions, diagnosing needs, solving problems, and identifying relevant resources.

+ Recognized as a subject matter expert/ thought leader in Retail and SaaS technology; supported by being published or interviewed in trade magazines, speaking at events or conferences

+ The power to build credibility; both internally within the organization and within Zebra’s customers at all levels

+ The ability to collaborate and partner with sales leads within the Retail vertical to help influence sales

+ The ability to create and deliver high-impact presentations to current and prospective customers

Salary: USD 139800.00 – USD 209800.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
