The Vendor Management Professional 2 works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Vendor Management Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Vendor Management Professional 2 reviews and negotiates terms of vendor contracts and communicates with vendors to regarding day-to-day matters. Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and monitor vendor performance. Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

20% 1. Continuously improve and customize vendor governance structure and techniques based on industry best practices and vendor profile.

30% 2. Monitor vendor performance. Assess, monitor, and manage risks related to vendor performance. Influence and align vendor performance with Humana Government Business strategic intents. Make recommendations related to vendor Statement of Work/Service Level Agreement updates and new vendor Requests for Proposal.

30% 3. Engage with internal business owners and vendors to identify and address gaps in vendor management. Facilitate process definition and improvement to achieve operational efficiencies across various vendor responsibilities.

20% 4. Establish and maintain relationships with key vendor personnel; perform regular virtual or in-person site visits; engage in vendor decision making

Required Qualifications

+ Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship

+ Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP – Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)

+ HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract. We are not able to hire candidates that are currently living in Puerto Rico.

+ Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of call center leadership experience, or 2 years of vendor management or 2 years of client management experience. Or if non – degreed, 4 – 6 years of call center leadership experience, or 4 – 6 years of vendor management or 4 – 6 years of client management experience.

+ Ability to work 8 – 5 p.m. in Eastern time zone

+ Experience with querying and analyzing data to monitor and influence outcomes

+ Relationship and alignment building skills to facilitate cooperation among all parties involved

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with Excel to include creating pivot tables and formulas

+ Experience with metrics to include analyzing data to identify trends and training opportunities

+ Experience with Tableau or Power BI

+ Experience with Sharepoint creation

+ Progressive experience in a health care or health insurance setting

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$57,700 – $79,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
