Role Summary/Purpose:

This HR Advocacy Manager role is part of the Technology & Operations Employee Advocacy team and provides support to our US based Associate employee population. This role will partner with their Employee Advocacy peers to provide centralized HR Manager assistance to employees and their managers on a wide variety of HR needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Partner with Associates & Managers on employee related situations and provide counsel to associates and managers to resolve through open communications

+ Provide education and guidance to employees and managers as it relates to FMLA, Disability and Workers Compensation

+ Partner with full Advocate team to recommend and lead improvements of HR programs and policies

+ Investigate employee concerns, and implement appropriate resolution steps in partnership with other advocates to ensure consistency

+ Employee accommodation assistance including process education, process improvement suggestions and accommodation reviews with key stakeholders.

+ Partner with managers to interpret and administer policies, including corrective action

+ Manage temporary and permanent relocation requests

+ Provide support for Workday, including status changes, exits and data integrity, as well as educating associates and managers on self-service options for workday (i.e. personal information updating, job descriptions)

+ Responsible for staffing of non-exempt associates positions. This includes all steps in the staffing process; interviewing, job offers, onboarding, new hire orientation etc.

+ Assist employees with escalated issues partnering with Comp/Benefits COE benefits, FMLA, disability, payroll, ADA, LOW and LOA inquiries

+ Partner with other advocates to identify areas of opportunity & suggest improvements to improve the employee experience

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

+ Actively participate in business-wide and HR team initiatives

+ Foster an environment conducive to teamwork and diversity

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ BA/BS degree in HR, Business or related area or in lieu of degree 4 years’ experience in HR or related field

+ 2+ years in an HR Generalist role or equivalent HR role

+ 2+ years experience in project management and strategic partnering

+ Experience with HR functions including; compensation, benefits EEO, employee relations, staffing and HR practices and policies

Desired Characteristics:

+ Strong preference for Master’s degree in HR, MBA or related area

+ Human Resource experience in a call center environment, financial service industry a plus

+ Bilingual Spanish – both spoken and written

+ Demonstrated problem solving and decision making based on analysis and evaluation

+ Demonstration of individual competence, growth and advancement in the HR profession

+ Strong organizational/follow up skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple and changing tasks simultaneously

Grade/Level: 08

The salary range for this position is 56 ,000.00 – 104,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
