The Role

This position is responsible for all Regional Site Civil Construction activities within the specified region.

The primary responsibility for this position is to complete all jobs under budget and within the requested timeframe. “Pre-project approved” responsibilities include site civil construction including Site Development, utility power, ac surge suppression, generator/transfer switches, HVAC, DC power, grounding and lightning, final floor and space planning and records/capacity. Accomplished technical engineer/planner who is adept at budgeting, planning, facilitating, and kicking off highly accurate plans for deployment of critical system telecom equipment and build outs, with specific expertise in areas of telecommunications with emphasis of site civil construction, DC power, electrical and mechanical.

The Main Responsibilities

- Work with and lead third party contractors who manage the design, development and implementation of all Construction activities within a specific region.

- Project Implementation – facilitate project tasks through daily communication and weekly team meetings; managing vendors in ordering, shipping, and receiving of all hardware and equipment; coordinate with Field Operations in space and power requirements while following through with the deployment and installations of network elements and common systems

- Establish, implement, and maintain administrative and technical procedures to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner within allocated budget and accounting guidelines

- Exercise financial controls within company financial systems, including review/approval of projects, purchase requisitions and oversight of approved contractors

- Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases

- Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews

- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

- Maintains project administration in a correct and timely manner, and orders materials and equipment and takes care of the necessary permits

What We Look For in a Candidate

- Bachelors degree plus at least six (6) years or more of Construction industry experience in site development and general construction. Field Of Study: construction science and management, engineering, architecture, or a related degree

- Demonstrated work experience for construction related projects, acting as the primary contact responsible for job control from a quality, costing and scheduling perspective.

- Ability to travel as much as 20%-30% as needed

- Previous experience and knowledge in all aspects of Site Civil Construction, Engineering, Permitting, Equipment Installation, and contract policies and procedures, as well as the Construction Certification Program requirements.

- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.

- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training

- Knowledge of AutoCAD

- Experience reading Blueprints/A&E drawings and Schematics

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$94420 – $125890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$99390 – $132510 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$104360 – $139140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$109330 – $145770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
