We are seeking a hardworking, compassionate, and loyal individual to join our client’s team onsite in Rock Island, IL. The Administrator is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Multi-Employer Health and Welfare Fund. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, managing relationships with stakeholders, and implementing strategies to optimize fund performance.

This is a fully in-office role with working hours 7am-3:30pm OR 8-4:30pm. Must live within daily commuting distance to be considered for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Management:

+ Oversee the administration of health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance plans.

+ Ensure accurate and timely processing of claims, contributions, and benefits distribution.

+ Monitor fund performance and implement strategies to maintain financial health and sustainability.

+ Perform accounts payable and receivable functions while also monitoring payment of health claims from provider.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

+ Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA.

+ Prepare and submit required reports and filings to regulatory agencies and the Board of Trustees.

Financial Management:

+ Develop and manage the fund’s budget in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.

+ Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient fund operation.

+ Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Relations:

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, employees, service providers, and regulatory agencies.

+ Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

+ Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to benefits and fund operations.

Strategic Planning:

+ Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance fund performance and member satisfaction.

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in fund administration.

+ Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact the fund.

Team Leadership:

+ Supervise and mentor a team of administrative staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.

+ Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with the fund’s values and goals.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably within a multi-employer or union environment.

+ Comprehensive knowledge of health and welfare benefits, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA regulations.

+ Strong financial management and analytical skills.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

+ High level of integrity and commitment to ethical practices.
