Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Agency committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences.?? Within this agency, our Paid Media Team is focused on achieving growth by making data-driven decisions to create meaningful interactions with existing and potential customers. We are seeking an AVP, Paid Search Manager to serve as an SEM thought leader and client lead, supporting business partners across the Synchrony enterprise. This role will help lead SEM team in executing/optimizing campaigns, collaborating across digital channels.

Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Run paid search campaign planning, strategy, forecast, building, execution, optimization and reporting

+ Work directly with business teams on initial campaign planning as well as weekly performance review and serve as the client lead

+ Responsible for keyword research/analysis, copy development, bid strategy and budget allocation

+ Present SEM capability, case studies and learnings to client teams and internally within Performance Marketing

+ Identify test and learn opportunity to gain deeper insights to optimize campaigns for better performance

+ Identify opportunity for automation leveraging internal/external tools

+ Drive integration with SEO and content team on holistic search and content strategy

+ Collaborate with display, social, affiliate teams on integrated paid media planning and execution

+ Collaborate with analytics on measurement, tagging and reporting and display/social team for cross channel collaboration

+ Manage external partner relationship and always be on the lookout for new SEM tactics/offers

+ Provide training to junior paid search team member as needed

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree or in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 4+ Years Marketing Experience

+ 5+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns from planning and execution to optimization and reporting

+ Proficiency in using platforms Google Ads, Bing Ads, Search Ads 360 (preferred third party tool)

+ Experience in the technical build of everything paid search as well as all paid search tactics (1st party data/Customer Match, Performance Max, Demand Gen, MSAN, Multimedia Ads, etc.)

+ Experience with the digital media landscape. Hands on experience in other paid media channels (working in collaboration with social and programmatic areas).

+ Demonstrated experience in analytical skills and analytical thinking; proficient in excel and PPT

Desired Characteristics:

+ Experience working on both B2C and B2B campaigns; experience working in financial category is a plus

+ Experienced in training and managing junior team members

+ Creative and resourceful; proven ability to problem solve and look for new ideas

+ Proven team player, nimble and flexible, able to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong project management and communication skills; detail-oriented and organized

+ Agency experience preferred

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
