Job Description

Description We are looking for a diligent IT Auditor to be a part of our team in the service industry. This role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an IT Auditor, you will be expected to conduct audits, identify and assess risks, and propose solutions to complex problems. Furthermore, you will contribute to the improvement of our IT department and maintain compliance programs.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough audits and provide appropriate solutions to complex problems within the IT department.

- Identify and assess risks and controls associated with the IT department operations.

- Highlight areas of improvement within the IT department and propose effective solutions.

- Document audit findings and maintain a comprehensive record for reference and future audits.

- Provide recommendations based on the assessments conducted.

- Audit computer systems to detect and minimize risks.

- Actively participate in technology audits and technology project reviews.

- Utilize skills in Archer, Audit Program, Business systems, CobiT, ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning, Application controls, Audit Findings, Auditing, Compliance, and Documentation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audits.

- Maintain and update existing compliance programs to ensure they meet the current needs of the IT department. Requirements – Proficiency with Archer, Audit Program, and Business systems

- Strong knowledge of CobiT and ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning

- Demonstrated experience with Application controls, Audit Findings, Auditing, Compliance, and Documentation

- Proven ability to analyze IT systems and processes

- Experience in conducting audits, both internal and external

- Strong understanding of audit principles, ethics, and techniques

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field

- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP) would be a plus

- Experience in a service industry environment would be beneficial.
