Description:
TEKsystems is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join a dynamic team fully onsite in Aurora, IL. As a Desktop Support Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for our customers. You’ll work with hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring that users receive top-notch support.
Responsibilities:
+ Deliver on-site technical support and troubleshoot issues for customers.
+ Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
+ Collaborate with the service desk and other team members to resolve complex technical problems.
+ Perform system upgrades, updates, and patches to optimize performance.
+ Conduct regular preventative maintenance on customers’ IT systems to minimize downtime.
+ Train end users on proper hardware, software, and networking system usage.
+ Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
Requirements:
+ Minimum 1 year of experience as a Desktop Support Technician or in a similar IT role.
+ Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems, including troubleshooting techniques.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
+ Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceptional service.
+ Strong organizational skills for task prioritization.
+ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10:30pm
