Job Description

This position will implement various DBA initiatives and assist with the administering & troubleshooting of our Production, Test, and Development SQL environment in order to support DB deployment, availability, growth, and upgrades.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Perform lead DBA role in implementing various SQL projects.

+ Coordinate with application owners, developers, and vendors to schedule application maintenance window, identify application tier support resource, perform end user test and validate application operational status.

+ Work with server team, security team, and backup team as needed to perform various VM server, security, and DR setup.

+ Work with the DBA manager to develop various project implementation strategies.

+ Provide build documentation and status updates as required by the DBA manager.

+ Provide administrative support to the SQL environment. Tasks include:

+ Install, monitor and support SQL server instances including various SQL components i.e. SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.

+ Install, monitor, and support various SQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions

+ DB migration (i.e., to new servers), DB user administration

+ Support client application installations

+ Create new databases and overwrite Test DBs with copies of Production DBs

+ Backup/recover/rollback production, test, and development DBs

+ Troubleshoot application database connectivity, SQL server issues, query performance, SQ
