We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Network Engineer with Cisco expertise to join our client’s dedicated network infrastructure team based in Chicago, Illinois! The prospective candidate will have to undertake a fair share of fieldwork; therefore, a hybrid work schedule is obligatory. You may have to activate a jack on-site, as our client operates within a Cisco environment and is currently transferring from an aged Vaya system to Teams; any prior experience with Voice Over will be a substantial benefit to your application. As this is primarily onsite role, the successful candidate will be expected to be on premise 3-4 days per week, although there is some flexibility for remote work, particularly during the summer months when the workload is hands-on with fewer students around. Geographically, the work is spread across our 3 locations – Lakeshore North-side Chicago, DT Chicago, and the West Loop. The standard shift is from 8 am to 5 pm, but we are open to potential flexibility. Our allowance for remote working may vary depending on the season. Primary tasks:

+ Managing, maintaining, and overseeing an extensive network infrastructure made up of routers, switches, and more.

+ Managing voice traffic

+ Handle more than 3000 access points

+ Frequently reconfigure the network of cameras.

Background Requirements:

+ Cisco background with wireless.

+ Comprehensive knowledge of routing protocols.

+ At least 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

+ Experience with Firewalls.
