job summary:
Description:
+ Our group works in the electrification space. This includes working on on-board machine software for battery management systems and energy management systems. This also includes working on software for off-board micro-grid high energy power inverter management systems.
+ Develop and debug embedded software features
Responsibilities:
+ Various software development activities will be assigned
+ Machine embedded software feature development
+ Integration of software features taken from models and libraries to create software flash files
+ Integration of configuration and calibration data
+ Test plan development and software validation
+ Identification and resolution of software defects
+ Software reviews
Techinical Skills Required:
+ 2+ years of experience with model-based development using Matlab/Simulink in an embedded software environment
+ 2+ years of experience in embedded C software development
+ Working knowledge of embedded real time operating systems
+ Experience with embedded software development tools such as Git, debuggers, and compilers
+ Electrification experience for battery management systems or energy management systems.
Desired Skills:
+ Experience with scripting (e.g. python, bash, ruby, etc.)
+ Experience with FMEA processes and a basic knowledge of electronic system failure modes
+ Experience developing embedded real-time software or systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications
Soft Skills Required:
+ Strong communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify needed actions and act to resolve issues with minimal oversight
+ Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse work group
Education & Experience Required:
+ Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
