Join our dynamic Transportation team and contribute to planning and designing highway, roadway, and local road improvements. Your role will involve performing analysis and design calculations in line with applicable design manuals, preparing 3D models of proposed designs, designing and preparing engineering drawings, and preparing contract specifications and special provisions. Additionally, you will perform and organize quantity calculations, respond to RFIs, review Shop Drawings, and actively participate in professional societies.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Darien, Illinois and some days remote.

Work Environment

This position is part of our Transportation team, specifically within the Phase I group. With a strong backlog of work, you can choose to work from our Darien office or our downtown office, based on your preference. We operate on a hybrid schedule, with about 3 days in the office and half-days on Fridays. You will have the opportunity to train under a seasoned professional with 20 years of industry experience and grow into your desired specialty within the Transportation team. Expect a minimum of 40 hours a week with occasional overtime. Our office maintains a business professional dress code from Monday to Thursday, with a more casual environment on half-day Fridays. Our workspace features an open floor plan with ample natural light, ample parking, and a kitchen area for breaks.
