An Associate Service Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. This role supports dealers with technical issues, troubleshooting, and documentation, requiring strong customer service and technical experience.

salary: $28.57 – 40.00 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

+ Supports company Dealers through technical issues

+ Works with Service and Design Engineers to research and provide documentation on electronics systems issues

+ Interfaces with Dealers through ticketing and teleconferencing

+ Assists service engineers with projects and provides support for products under the mentorship of an experienced engineer

Typical Task Breakdown:

+ Interfaces with Dealers through a ticket system, email, and phone calls

+ Regularly collaborates with other service engineers, and system and component engineers to identify issues and find resolutions

+ May travel to company proving grounds and customer sites to assist in investigating issues

+ Flexible hours available (e.g., 9/80 setup)

Education & Experience Required:

+ Associates degree and 5 years of experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and maintenance or 6+ years of relevant experience

+ Bachelor’s Degree (technical) counts as two years of experience, requiring at least 3 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and maintenance

Technical Skills (Required):

+ 5+ years of troubleshooting/support experience

+ Familiarity with electronic and electrical systems

+ Heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent (e.g., automotive)

Technical Skills (Desired):

+ Military experience

+ Dealer experience with the company or other OEM
