Job Title: Quality Engineer (PPAP)Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer (PPAP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with customers to ensure all quality documentation is submitted on time, including PPAPs. You might also be involved with some corrective action reporting. The ideal candidate will be able to follow parts through the engineering process and update PPAP documentation and Controls Plans for manufacturing.

Hard Skills

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment – metals or plastics

+ Good understanding of PPAP and submittal process

+ Experience creating & editing PPAP documents

+ Understanding of Control Plan process and First Article inspection reporting (FAI’s)

+ CMM exposure – ability to make basic edits to programs

+ Understanding of part tolerancing and GD&T

Soft Skills

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Ability to work in a team

+ Keen attention to detail

+ Good problem-solving skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mundelein, Illinois.

Work Environment

Candidates MUST come from either a Metals background (metal stamping, metal fabrication, machining) or a Plastics background (injection molding). We operate from our plant located in Mundelein, IL, where we have about 150 total employees. Our operations run on both 1st and 2nd shift, with working hours being either 7am – 3:30pm or 7:30am – 4pm.
