Mechanical Designer The current Drafting Department is moving from Drafting to all encompassing R&D Design Engineering. Repurposing the department to localize all mechanical design and portfolios, focusing on mainly full-grill assemblies, creation of the CAD Modeling, and part number assemblies (fully mechanical vs product – focused on design aspect, not the testing or analysis). These roles will be focused on mostly NPD/design from scratch (component, bracketry, fixturing, etc.) with some variable “current product support” or sustaining product modifications. The Designers will work extremely close with engineering, as engineering will be taking care of the analysis/test side. Directly within NPD teams, working mainly with Quality, Manufacturing, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, and Product Managers. MUST HAVES: 3+ years’ of experience within Mechanical Design Industry Ideally Associates/Technical Degree (Manuf. Eng. Technology or Industrial Technology degree or similar) Proficiency in Solidworks (70% NPD / 30% sustaining or existing product support) Ability to design for manufacturability and handling of BOMs Must come from a manufacturing industry, hands-on environment Self-starter, independent personality** (must hit ground running – no room for training) Motivated, wanting “business owner” mentality

NICE TO HAVES: Familiarity with sheetmetal (preferred), machined parts or castings (some injection molding is OK too) Product design experience for R&D and creating of 3D models (Tool & Die) Proficient using Solidworks (50% – 70% of day using Solidworks) Exposure to design/manufacturing of injection molding, casting, and/or sheet metal fabrication Experienced creating product and component level drawings, specifications for engineering Component and sub-system design
