Job Purpose and Impact

The Corn Laboratory Technician will provide quality assurance and food safety technical support through testing/grading and data collection and analysis. In this role, you will collaborate to identify quality assurance issues and analyze data to uncover risks and support knowledge transfer.

Key Accountabilities

+ Conduct inspections of finished products or raw materials to identify trends in defects or errors and support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.

+ Provide training, coaching and mentoring to new team members.

+ Conduct documentation review of hazard analysis, food safety and quality documents.

+ Manage customer complaints and ensure appropriate actions and preventative measures are in place to prevent reoccurrence.

+ Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

+ High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent

+ Minimum of two years of related work experience

+ Able and willing to work overtime when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Excellent time management and organization skills

+ Microsoft Office experience

+ Excellent writing and interpersonal skills

+ Knowledge of corn quality and specifications.
