About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracts and regulatory work, particularly within the fintech and cryptocurrency sectors. This role will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including service agreements, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs.

+ Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters, including compliance with financial regulations, data protection laws, and cryptocurrency-specific legislation.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.

+ Draft regulatory communications in response to ad hoc requests and correspond with senior attorneys with respect to same.

+ Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in the fintech and cryptocurrency space, and advise on their impact on the company’s operations.

+ Assist in the management of legal risks and provide strategic advice to support business objectives.

+ Liaise with external legal counsel as needed to address complex legal issues.

+ Support corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to internal policies and standards.

+ Conduct legal research and provide training to internal stakeholders on relevant legal topics.

Qualifications:

+ Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

+ Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

+ 3+ years of legal experience, with a focus on contracts and regulatory work in the fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.

+ In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, including securities laws, AML/KYC requirements, and data protection laws.

+ Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
