We’re looking for a talented and experienced Creative Copy Supervisor to lead and inspire our in-house creative team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Brand and Creative, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic copywriting initiatives across all marketing channels, ensuring our brand voice is consistent, compelling, and drives business results. As a player coach, you will also provide creative direction, mentorship, and oversight to your direct report, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Our corporate headquarters is in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend two days working in the office and three days working remotely. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead the development and execution of creative copywriting strategies across various marketing websites, apps and channels, including print, digital, email, social media, and product packaging.

+ Craft compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences and effectively communicates product benefits and brand value propositions.

+ Maintain a deep understanding of Lawson Products’ brand voice and messaging guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing communications and platforms.

+ Partner with internal stakeholders, including product marketing managers, designers, and web developers, to develop and deliver high-quality sales and marketing collateral.

+ Oversee and manage the workflow of your direct report, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and mentorship to help grow skills and expertise.

+ Stay current on industry trends and best practices in B2B marketing and copywriting.

+ Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform copywriting strategies.

+ Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering results.

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external vendors.

+ Track and analyze the performance of marketing copy, identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in B2B copywriting and content marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing styles and content types.

+ Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative campaigns across various marketing channels.

+ Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices in copywriting.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to specific audiences.

+ Experience in leading and mentoring a creative team is a plus.

+ Proficient in project management tools and content management systems (CMS) is a plus.

+ Experience with content marketing tools and analytics is a plus.
