The Photo Studio Photography Assistant will support the Photo team (Photographers, Stylists, Art Directors and Producers) to produce a high output of photographic imagery. They will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing studio environment while maintaining consistency and organization. + Ensure studio efficiency and anticipate the needs of each set and team to maintain smooth studio operations

+ Follow studio organization guidelines and promote cleanliness in all situations

+ Assist photography teams (in studio or on location) ensuring each project is supported from start to finish

+ Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working safely, respectfully, and efficiently with all associates

+ Maintain a running inventory of all equipment, including tracking repairs and rentals

+ Ensure studio equipment operates safely and properly, scheduling repairs as necessary

+ Return clean and functional gear to storage daily

+ Create lighting diagrams and equipment lists for each set to ensure consistency across all platforms

+ Prelight sets to maintain consistency across seasons and between photographers

+ Execute pre-lighting for multiple sets simultaneously

+ Maintain awareness of and responsibility for merchandise in the studio

+ Adhere to studio best practices, procedures, and techniques

+ Follow company safety rules and keep the designated work area clean and orderly.

+ Collaborate with other studio personnel to achieve studio objectives

What you’ll bring to the table…

+ Understanding of how lighting and camera equipment operates

+ Working knowledge of all applicable digital programs

+ Strong ability to prioritize responsibilities to maintain an efficient workflow in the studio

+ Understand anticipations / needs from Photo Team and take appropriate action as needed

+ Effective communication skills across internal and external customers

+ Resourceful with a problem-solving personality and a keen attention to detail

+ Adapt and adjust quickly to an ever changing environment

+ Excellent interpersonal and time management skills

+ Knowledge of photography terminology, equipment, and techniques

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

+ 2 years experience in a photography studio environment with industry knowledge of photography equipment and photography studio operations

+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

+ Knowledge of photography terminology, equipment and techniques

+ Working knowledge of applicable photo/video digital programs

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – Capable of driving a cargo van/12’ truck
