Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to add to our team of relationship sales experts. This role requires a candidate who isn’t afraid to make new connections or build a new client relationship. The Account Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in expanding our business by cultivating and managing relationships with third-party partners, including pool contractors, landscape contractors, property managers, and other key stakeholders. This position requires a self-motivated “hunter” who excels in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities.

This candidate also needs to be computer savvy, exceptionally detail-oriented, familiar with the construction industry, and self-motivated. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced sales, estimating, and operations teams to master the craft of fence sales. It’s a fast-paced role with endless opportunities to grow your own book of business within the Peerless Fence Group brand.

Position Overview

The Account Sales Representative is responsible for client relationship management, whether it be identifying new partnership opportunities or nurturing existing B-to-B relationships. This position coordinates the execution of the project with the client and the Peerless Fence residential operations and installation teams. The Account Sales Representative ensures the successful and seamless completion of this process while also acting as a point of contact for the projects they have sold. Whether it’s the initial contract, a change onsite, or other site challenges that arise, this role is managing the communication, paperwork, and costs associated with that project. This position is primarily focused on the following objectives:

+ Identifying prospective projects and responding to project estimate inquiries

+ Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with third-party partners and/or directly with homeowners

+ Preparing contracts and customer agreements

+ Problem solving: Everything from identifying customer needs and proposing solutions to responding to project challenges and changes (ahead of time or onsite) to meet customer expectations and project completion goals

The Account Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales goals, fulfilling customer needs, and doing so with a commitment to delivering the Peerless Promise of Quality, Service, & Integrity.

Role and Responsibilities

+ Business Development:

+ Utilize various channels such as cold calls, email campaigns, and marketing efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

+ Conduct targeted outreach to potential partners and clients to expand the company’s presence and client base. Clients are companies who work with homeowners and/or neighborhoods to beautify and enhance their residential properties.

+ Engage in strategic networking activities, including lunch and learns, to build relationships within the industry.

+ Relationship Management:

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential third-party partners such as property management companies, pool contractors, landscape architects, home builders, etc…

+ Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.

+ Act as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing inquiries and providing excellent customer service.

+ Always be following up and touching base, whether it’s to gain new business, see an estimate through to sale, or a sale through to installation with our operations team

+ Project Estimating & Management:

+ Coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to oversee the successful execution of fencing projects, addressing any issues that may arise.

+ Reviewing project plans, identifying fence opportunities and providing quotes per listed specs

+ Use a solution selling approach to estimating projects

+ Entering all project orders in Salesforce and maintain documentation of project updates

+ Trade Shows and Events:

+ Participate in industry trade shows and events to showcase the company’s products and services.

+ Represent the company professionally, networking with potential partners and clients to generate leads.

Required Skills and Experience

+ Minimum of 3 years previous sales and/or project management experience in the construction industry

+ Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times

+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Ability to work effectively and productively as part of a team while maintaining and taking the initiative on your own book of business

+ We are looking for a candidate who takes pride and ownership in their work and prioritizes organization and communication in their methodology

+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and duties

+ Strong computer skills: Must have familiarity with email, basic internet skills, word processing programs, spreadsheets, etc…

+ General understanding of construction, reading building plans, blueprints

Preferred Skills and Experience

+ Fence industry experience, preferably in residential or light commercial fence sales experience

+ Extroverted personality – the ability to approach anyone in-person, over the phone, or via email regarding a project opportunity

+ Associates degree or higher preferred

+ Experience with Salesforce CRM

+ Experience with Google Workspace

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 base pay per year. Potential for additional commissions earned when sales goals met or exceeded.
