We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Accountant in the bustling city of ROCKFORD, Illinois. This role is primarily based in the financial industry, where you will be tasked with assisting our team with bookkeeping tasks and bookkeeping duties.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage financial transactions
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure our financial records are accurate
- Utilize your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to manage and analyze financial data
- Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for
- Utilize your skills in payroll to assist with payroll services as needed
- Provide bookkeeping services to small business clients, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Requirements – Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately
- Comprehensive understanding of Bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficient in Data Entry tasks with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, charts, and handling data
- Experience in Month End Close processes
- Familiarity with Payroll systems and processes
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting and financial tasks
- Prior experience in a Bookkeeper role is desirable but not mandatory
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
