No Duties and Responsibilities

- Assists the Campus Transportation Manager in the daily operations of the Campus Transportation Department and all related functions to ensure that parking operations run efficiently and effectively on both Lakeside Campuses.

- Responsible for following all established departmental procedures and policies.

- Investigates customer inquiries via telephone or e-mail and handles them as appropriate.

- Conducts customer payments for daily and permit parking. Must be able to accurately count and deposit cash.

- Works with Campus Transportation Manager to collect and deposit cash from the pay machines.

- Monitors functioning of all parking gates through the computerized gate and camera system and maintains pay machine equipment.

- Coordinates parking arrangements with outside groups and other university departments.

- Assists the Campus Transportation Manager with parking lot checks and special projects.

- Handles both paper and electronic filing and maintains multiple databases.

- Conducts the Parking Ticket Appeals Board meetings and monitors the Antipassback reports.

- Responsible for handling all aspects of parking ticket administration.

- Collaborates with Campus Transportation Manager on validations and departmental chargebacks.

- Collaborates with Campus Transportation Manager on student worker scheduling and training.

- Updates the departmental website and coordinates the Resident Parking Permit distribution.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience in an office setting.

Qualifications

- Associate’s degree strongly preferred.

- At least 2 years of customer service and 1 year of cash handling experience is required.

- Good communication skills required.

- Ability to work well independently.

- A flexible schedule is required.

- Basic math, reading, writing, and typing skills.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required and an ability to learn various university- and department-specific software.
