POSITION SUMMARY The Illinois Re?ning Division is currently looking for a full-time Re?nery Inspector for the Inspection Group in the Maintenance Department. This position reports to the Area Inspection Supervisor. Relocation is approved for this position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Plan, coordinate, perform and document inspections for re?nery equipment such as pressure vessels and piping.

+ Oversee inspector activities during turnarounds.

+ Assist in the planning and execution of inspection activities during turnarounds.

+ Participate with area team on improving reliability and safe operation of equipment.

+ Develop repair plans on equipment from inspection recommendations.

+ Have or develop an understanding of industry codes and standards applicable to inspection activities.

+ Study corrosion rates and evaluate data to assist in predicting remaining life and safe operating limits.

+ Develop and/or approve welding procedures.

+ Perform quality assurance activities during design, manufacturing and installation of new equipment.

+ Participate in unit reviews such as Haz-ops, risk-based inspection (RBI) studies, etc.

+ Responsible for ensuring that MPC specifications and industry code requirements are followed to ensure the equipment maintains mechanical integrity and reliability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum (Required) Qualifications

+ Must have High School Diploma or GED. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)

+ Must have c urrent API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection Certification

+ Must have c urrent API 570 Piping Inspection Certification

+ Va lid Driver’s License upon hire

+ Availability for a Monday-Thursday 10-hour shift schedule, on-call weekend rotations, and support for Turnaround and shutdowns as required .

+ A ble to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and be able to physically perform all tasks in the field

+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

+ 5 + years of ?eld experience

+ Current – NBIC IS commission AND NBIC R endorsement OR make reasonable efforts to obtain within 1 year of employment

+ Current – API 653 Tank Inspector Certification OR make reasonable efforts to obtain within 1 year of employment ?

+ Current – AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification, VT Level 2 OR make reasonable efforts to obtain within 1 year of employment ?

+ API 571, API 936 or other API Certifications

+ AWS-CWI

+ Experience with GE’s Asset Performance Management (APM)

Desired Skills

+ G ood coordination skills between interdisciplinary functions (operations, inspection, engineering).

+ Co mfortable with leading and facilitating meetings.

+ A ble to communicate well with front line workers and multiple levels of leadership .

+ P roficient with Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMs, OneNote.
