Supply Chain Operations Coordinator (Contractor):

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact (POC) for the execution of day-to-day operations and planning activities ensuring the continuous supply of multiple commercial products in the US. This role will work closely with a cross functional Supplier Relationship Team (SRT) to manage production schedule attainment, maintain optimal inventory levels, manage logistics requirements, ensure management and compliance of quality event records, and support overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operational relationship with finished goods contract manufacturer(s) and medical device manufacturer(s) advancing activities to support ongoing production including the submission of product forecasts, purchase orders issuance, and providing required documentation to assure that appropriate capacities and resources are available to support all commercialized products.
  • Monitor execution of the supply and inventory plans across the firm horizon and track progress against established metrics. Lead the regular review of supplier performance to track KPI achievement.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to promote and maintain compliance. Initiate quality event records including change controls, deviations, and CAPAs and drive closure.
  • Ensure that inventory is maintained at target levels, proactively highlights discrepancies and risks, and implements corrective actions to restore inventory to target levels.
  • Lead inventory reconciliation process with finance including monthly supplier reconciliation, quarterly Excess & Obsolete (E&O) material projections, and annual budget exercise.
  • Execute SAP transactions to ensure accuracy of real-time inventory picture including Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, stock transfer orders, and scrap movements to maintain compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Support product lifecycle initiatives such as artwork changes and secondary package design improvements. Develop inventory transition strategies and scenario plans for commercial implementation, effectively balancing supply impact and write-off exposure.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and department SOPs along with identification of gaps; modify the existing and create new procedures that align with ongoing business and organizational transformation.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement projects to drive expanded capabilities and improve the efficiency of existing processes.
Education, Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar education required.
  • APICS and/or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in the biotech / pharmaceutical industry with at least 2+ years in Supply Chain roles
Experience, Knowledge, Competencies
  • Broad familiarity with packaging operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing, warehousing, and ensuring safe and compliant cGxP operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, with ability to articulate recommendations and key decision points to senior management
  • Experience with supplier relationship management in a cGMP environment and quality mindset.
  • Experience working in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel
  • Exceptional team player. Ability to develop a strong network across the company.
