Job Description
Essential Job Functions
- Supports inventory management strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability
- Tracks and analyzes product inventories, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to reduce risk, assure financial reconciliation and maintain inventory integrity
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to conduct cycle counts, audits, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow
- Prepares and reviews required business reports
- Work with Key Stakeholders and Customers to reconcile Inventory Book-to- Book
Education & Experience
- High School Equivalent required, Bachelor's degree desired
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
- Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
- Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
