Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant IV for the Evanston campus.

Temporary Job Description:
Post student, staff, and librarian faculty positions. Consults with student supervisors regarding hiring questions, job postings and descriptions.
Conducts NUL new hire orientation for non-exempt staff, exempt staff and librarian faculty.
Accurately processes all new hire documents and necessary paperwork. Sends necessary forms and other documents to appropriate central offices.
Updates student and temporary staff records as needed, including but not limited to: pay, shift and any status changes.
Oversees student and temporary timekeeping, resolves timekeeping problems, and communicates with NUHR Payroll.
Process appointment/position and personal data forms for status changes, and employee termination paperwork in a timely manner. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Oversees NUL staff and librarian faculty timekeeping, resolves timekeeping problems, and communicates with NUHR Payroll.
Schedules interviews and books accommodations for candidate interviews.
Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft and excel proficiency.
This position requires excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team. Great attention to detail and time management is a must. They will work primarily from the desk (shared work space); the role is 100% on site.
