Position Summary
The Assistant Director, Business Operations (Business Administrative Associate) will support the Clinic Director in managing the operational and financial performance of the clinic. This position will provide analytic insight and work with the Clinic Director to implement new workflows that improve patient experience, increase revenue capture, and engage frontline staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

Compile and analyze operational data to identify and improve organizational performance and efficiency.
Analyze financial data to improve reimbursement and decrease denials.
Manage practice operations including, but not limited to: managing schedules, monitoring time and attendance, ordering supplies and managing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (IDPH and TJC), helping solve patient/provider issues.
Identify gaps and lead projects to implement solutions where necessary. Extract and analyze information from various databases including, but not limited to: Epic (Reports, Slicer Dicer, Business Objects) and Vizient CDB. Summarize information to help clinical, research, and academic stakeholders make informed decisions.
Serve as member of the clinic's Performance Improvement Team; analyze patient-specific feedback to provide recommendations on improving the patient experience in clinic.
Provide appropriate communication, guidance, and education as necessary to clerical and clinical staff to improve operational and financial metrics.
Oversee daily revenue reconciliation processes, which includes extracting and analyzing data from the EHR, identifying issues, and working with the Revenue Integrity team to correct errors.
Direct, supervise and evaluate clerical staff. Train and orient new staff on clinic-specific policies and procedures. Maintain personnel files.
Participate in environment of care rounds, safety huddles, and mock tracers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
Two (2) years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.

(NOTE: A Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)
Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in an area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
Demonstrated experience with managing operations in a healthcare environment.
