What You Can Expect
As the Digital Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our advanced metering, data acquisition, and telemetry systems. These systems are essential for collecting critical performance and health data from our distributed renewable and energy efficiency project sites across the nation. You will be responsible for overseeing sites developed by ENGIE's development and delivery teams, as well as those managed by our Customer Care Field Services Team and engineered by our Customer Care Digital Engineering Team.

Your role will encompass a variety of business functions, including monitoring microgrid and solar performance, setting up condition and fault alarms, and overseeing battery energy storage systems. You'll also be responsible for tracking the performance of energy efficiency measures, conducting both preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting issues remotely and on-site, and generating reports for customers and internal stakeholders.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with the Digital Engineering Director to select technologies that are not only cost-effective but also scalable and supportable. This partnership ensures that our systems remain at the cutting edge of technology while maintaining efficiency and reliability.

As the Digital Operations Director, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our systems run smoothly and effectively, and that our teams are equipped with the best tools and technologies to deliver outstanding service and performance.


What You'll Bring
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a focus in an Engineering or IT related discipline
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT/Software Development or Support
Work history should include TCP/IP networking, serial communications, data acquisition systems or SCADA, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and cellular data communications
Experience working with time-series data
Familiarity with SQL database concepts as they relate to data loading, storage, and reporting
An understanding of why data is important, how it is transformed into information, how it is acted upon by others in the organization, and how value is assigned to it
Self-leadership, direct leadership of a small team, and transversal leadership in non-supervisory situations


Additional Details
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record you will operate company vehicles and must be able to drive to site locations


Compensation
Salary Range: $ 146,300.00 - $224,135.00 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
