The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Senior Product Manager to optimize our Avantor Fluid Handling (AFH) organization. This PA, MA or IL role is full-time, remote.

Minimum Education Requirement:
BS degree in science and/or engineering. Masters preferred.

Travel:
10-20% travel both domestic and globally

Required Experience (8+ years):
In life sciences, product management and/or market development.
In filtration technologies for bioprocessing applications.
Technical or commercial experience with NFF, TFF, or other filtration technologies.
In bioproduction or related industry.
In the filtration portfolio to build broad based expertise in sales and marketing functions.
Working in a matrix organizational structure

Preferred Experience:
Financial (P&L), business case development
Analytical experience
Articulating business cases and guiding objective decision making process.
Project management and planning.
Decision making
Adopting corporate changes.
Providing data related to competitors, the market, product, and capability positioning.
Revenue and unit or capacity forecasting
Working with planning functions, identifying key business priorities, and pricing strategies.
Long-range product strategizing
Guiding fiscal planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the filtration product platform. This includes identifying, establishing, and leading strategic collaborations, customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders.
Business level written/ verbal communication skills.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

Being results oriented with high sense of urgency, the Senior Product Manager will lead the AFH filtration products portfolio for use in biopharma production applications. This will include portfolio management, strategy development, pricing, life cycle management and top/bottom line growth management.
This role will be a unique combination of external partnership development and traditional product life cycle management to differentiate Avantor's position in bioprocessing.
This subject matter expert will:
Represent Avantor at conferences and tradeshows, while effectively communicating product strategy and tactics to the market.
Function as the business owner
Lead the filtration biopharma production portfolio of products with P&L responsibility, including meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets, lead all aspects of business.
Collaborate with strategy and business development teams to identify and mature opportunities for partnership and value creation in the filtration space, including but not limited to reselling, licensing, co-developing, OEM-in, co-marketing, and other partnership agreements.
Partner with sales to define go-to-market effort and work hand-in-hand with our commercial teams to implement commercial strategies.
Enhance market share gain and customer satisfaction for filtration products, drive demand through impactful sales and marketing campaigns
Participate in senior leadership team meetings and in strategic planning, including setting objectives and strategies as well as take accountability for implementation and results.
Work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results including driving cross-business unit and divisional initiatives.
