Essential Functions:
Acts as office manager of the CSJCM (Center for Social Justice/City Mission), posting bulletins for the department, coordinating meetings/outings and department events (i.e. trainings, awareness events, committee meetings, etc.).
Manages departmental submissions to The Salvation Army's Mission Manager TSAMM (The Salvation Army Meeting Manager) system, including those for Justice Week events (training will be provided).
Provides administrative support including recording and transcribing meeting minutes; processing communications and documentations; ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment; processing financial reimbursements and invoices; and monitoring supply, equipment and project expenditures to ensure compliance with the approved budget.
Monitors general department and department head's Outlook inboxes, drafting routine correspondence and various documents for department head's signature.
Manages the department head's calendar.
Assists with the compiling and distributing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Maintains updated records, email lists, documentation, and written work on SharePoint, with hard copies as directed.
Prepares contracts for venues, consultants and specials guest, hired groups and businesses; makes the initial contact for contracts and negotiates pricing/packages.
Assists in the maintenance of Center for Social Justice/City Mission resources including creating content for the social media and website.
Provides assistance with technical equipment and software for staff (i.e., copier, Zoom/Teams meetings, webinars, conference call lines, etc.).
Assists CSJCM staff in preparation for workshops and training sessions including production and printing of materials, assembly and shipping of materials, securing of travel reservations and meeting coordination.
Supports the CSJCM Director/Territorial Contact Person for human trafficking in the development/completion of special projects, as directed by the department head.
Assists with all aspects of department training/conferences/seminars (event preparation/planning; database management; meeting coordinating; correspondence; online registration; on-site check in and training support).
Processes reimbursements/travel expenditures, check requests, billing, payment of invoices and manage record system for these.
Responds to public questions regarding Social Justice & City Mission programs/operations in the Central Territory
Other duties as assigned, either in writing or verbally.

Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in social justice, intercultural studies, urban mission or related field.

Experience:
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, a minimum of two years of experience in office administration and project management.

OR: Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Skills:
Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to master multi-disciplinary and complex tasks
Strong initiative, requiring minimal supervision

Supervisory Responsibility:
None

Travel:
Travel, including overnight and weekends, will be required occasionally.
