Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary 
 Reporting to the Learning Access Coordinator, the Graduate Assistant provides student support and assistance with processes, projects and procedures related to disability support services.
Responsibilities 
 Responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

 

-Assist with student outreach, appointments and support meetings related to services for students with disabilities.

-Assist in front office and Testing Center operations, including appointment scheduling, test proctoring and other misc. administrative tasks.

-Assist Learning Access Coordinator with organization and coordination of various auxiliary services for students with disabilities.

-Research, develop, write, and edit handouts and reports, material for website, social media, and publicity/promotional documents.

-Audit and update website on an ongoing basis.

-Collect and analyze disability support services data.

-Work collaboratively with all members of the Academic Services team to provide holistic academic support for students with accommodations.

-Contribute and assist with other programs, initiatives and work of the Academic Services team.

-Participate in Admissions events and other identified recruitment/retention activities to assist potential students and families.
Minimum Qualifications 
 Bachelor's degree and admission into one of the University's graduate programs, availability to work during Academic Services business hours. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, relationship building skills, problem solving skills and strong organizational skills. Also needed are strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse population within and outside the university. Experience handling confidential, sensitive student information.

 

Position is an on campus, in person position.

Work hours  
 Average of 20 hours per week between M-F 8:30am-5pm. Schedule to be determined with supervisor.
