Job Description

JLL is looking for a Senior Accounting Associate / Hybrid to join our Global Finance Team. Our Sr. Accounting Associate performs a variety of professional level accounting duties involved in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling moderately complex financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. You will maintain the accuracy of the ledgers and financial systems; assist in the preparation of, annual audit, and year end closings. The Senior Accounting Associate I must have great attention to detail, be able to solve complex problems, work independently, and communicate effectively.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Financial Reporting: Preparing month-end closing procedures and handling monthly, quarterly, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Provide accurate and timely financial information to management, investors, and other stakeholders

Reconciling Intercompany Transactions: Reviewing and validating intercompany transactions posted in the accounting systems of different entities to ensure accuracy and completenes

Reconciling Revenue Systems and Resolving Differences: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or differences identified during the reconciliation process. This may involve collaborating with counterparts in other entities to clarify transactions, resolve disputes, and ensure proper recording and elimination of open balances

Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in coordinating and supporting external audits, ensuring accurate and timely communication of financial information to auditors. Address any audit findings and implement necessary remediation actions

Compliance and Controls: Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. This includes verifying that all transactions are properly authorized, documented, and recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations

Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline finance processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial controls. Partner with Business Finance to enhance best practice processes, reviewing, and recommending modifications to accounting processes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

2-5 years of accounting experience, some real estate experience preferred.

Advanced accounting and analytical skills

Strong working knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet applications required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic

Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners

Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs

Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments

Understanding of and commitment to client services
