Overview

 

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an Assembler to add to our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will build reliable autonomy products used for real-world applications. To be successful in this role you must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Process Engineers to assemble products used on the cutting edge of vehicle autonomy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. Work is typically performed in a production environment and can be loud.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Morton, IL. 

 


Responsibilities

 

As an Assembler, responsbilities include:
Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry
Use tools to make or repair parts and products
Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions
Work with other members of the line or group to assemble products
Keep a clean and well-organized workspace
Identify any defective items and handling them according to established procedures
Use reason to solve problems as they arise
Participate in continuous improvement activities

 


Qualifications

 

Must Have:
High school diploma or GED
Attention to detail
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Skilled in mechanics
Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
