Job Summary:
The responsibilities of this position include office administration duties such as answering the phone, greeting customers, assisting faculty, students, and staff with basic questions, assisting and planning for events and classroom support and other general administrative office duties. Provides basic initial level support for classroom Audio-Visual equipment and computers.Provides classroom setup and breakdown before/after classes and events.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide primary administrative and event support to stewardship and donor relations staff. Stewardship event
Provides support for classroom AV equipment and computers
Answers incoming calls for initial level support for faculty, students, and staff
Develops and maintains process documents and operating instructions for IT/Facilities related tasks
Assists with event coordination and class preparations
Collaborates with building management office on maintenance and operational issues
Maintains SPS academic scheduling calendar
Performs other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)
H.S. Diploma required
1-3 years administrative experience
Strong customer service focus
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing
Ability to work independently and problem-solve
Ability to maintain professional demeanor in all situations
Ability to effectively identify and communicate issues or problems to management
Strong organizational skills
Basic computer software and hardware skills, general working knowledge of audio-visual equipment
Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
College degree, or equivalent experience.
Experience in academic setting working with students and faculty
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Able to coordinate and prepare resources and facility for classes and scheduled events
Basic Audio-Visual equipment and computer support
Knowledge of MS Office Suites
Basic knowledge of Apple and Windows operating systems
