Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and moving wooden structures, general framing and construction, finishing and sanding wood tracks, and cutting, drilling, and sanding wood structures. They will also be tasked with measuring and cutting wood, framing wooden structures, gathering materials, and building wooden structure and tracks. The role also includes gap filling and sanding, measuring and trimming of protective shields, adding protective coatings, and machining pockets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for installing lifting pins, reading and comprehending part drawings, and wood working and wood finishing. The successful candidate will also need to pass a mechanical quiz/measurement test before submitting their application.

Hard Skills

+ Hand and Power tool experience

+ Wood experience – cutting, trimming, fab, etc. 1-2 years

+ Carpentry, construction, assembly experience – 1-2 years

+ Read a tape measure to 16th of an inch

+ Mics/Cals

+ Blueprints and Bilingual are pluses

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Phoenix, Illinois.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working in an indoor facility with an outdoor yard. The environment is temperature controlled and broken down into multiple departments. The successful candidate will be working in the structural side working with wood.
