As a Pearson’s Early Career CTE Sales Representative, you will be on the front lines of driving teaching and learning innovation, and your role will be crucial in helping schools meet their educational goals of access, personalized learning and achievement, ultimately enhancing student success.

You would be responsible for executing strategies and solutions that address issues and challenges facing instructors and students today. The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable record of success with a demonstrable ability to meet and exceed goals. A strong interest in digital media and applications to learning is a must, with a genuine passion for education. This hybrid role combines remote sales with field sales and includes travel. A minimum of 25% travel is to be expected.? This can change depending on the territory and can extend to 35% during peak times and State Adoptions cycles where applicable.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES?

Your day to day will include:

+ Achieve and exceed the Pearson net sales revenue goal in assigned sales and operational expense budgets.?Accountable working within assigned sales operational budgets.

+ Partner with the highest level of decision makers within assigned districts to present Pearson solutions including instructor tools, courseware, and services solutions to increase student achievement.

+ Identify solutions and opportunities across territory and bring together key stakeholders to showcase the power of Pearson solutions with expertise to win the business.?Effectively manage the needs of the territory.

+ Develop, present and execute business plans twice annually aligned to organizational goals and territory goals focused on forecasting, opportunity, competition analysis and strategy for driving business, while staying on top of market trends and funding criteria.

+ Demonstrate excellent organizational and follow-up skills.

+ Maintain accurate and timely tracking and forecasting in CRM.

+ Deliver effective technology sales presentations to instructors.

+ Work closely with the Customer Success organization to ensure effective support for key districts.

+ Seek new solution opportunities for growth in sales territory.? Looking for digital sales and emerging opportunities.

+ Coordinate field input to product and marketing groups in advance of sales cycles to ensure market instructional needs are met with effectiveness and innovation.

+ Work in partnership with contract administration to manage state and district timelines for bids, RFPs and contracts in place.

+ Travel 25-35% can include flights/overnight travel for site visits, event presentations, sales meetings and conferences.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE?

To embark on this journey, you should bring:

+ B.A. degree or equivalent experience.

+ Minimum of 3 years of outstanding sales experience in education/edtech or related industry.

+ Proven success in consistently exceeding sales targets.

+ High aptitude and enthusiasm for the end-to-end sales process.

+ Experience in managing a variety of learning solutions across a diverse portfolio.

+ Proven experience networking with and influencing decision makers.

+ Exceptional verbal and written communicator?

+ Proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications, and business systems.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Minimum full-time salary range is between $90,000 – $100,000.
