Job Description
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a dedicated Accounting Clerk in the food and food processing industry based in Park Ridge, Illinois. The selected individual will be in charge of various accounting tasks, with a special focus on managing customer credit applications.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all accounting clerk functions with precision and timeliness
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data
- Process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
- Handle and resolve customer credit inquiries promptly
- Monitor customer credit accounts closely, identifying any irregularities or issues
- Take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments from customers
- Apply knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in daily tasks. Requirements – Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is essential.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Food & Food Processing industry is preferred.
- A strong understanding of general accounting principles is required.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
