National Buying Services is the department dedicated to acquiring the goods that our ALDI customers count on. Beyond working to secure quality products at the lowest possible prices through our Buying and support teams (Administration, Pricing / E-commerce, Merchandising, Market Research and Analytics), our teams ensure we are providing the best value and quality in everything we do.

As a Business Partner Enablement Team Supervisor, you will oversee our team providing support and technical expertise on existing software solutions and business processes to external Business Partners. This position will also liaise with multiple areas of the business, both nationally and internationally. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone willing to work in a team setting, bringing positive energy, with exceptional verbal and written communication and problem solving skills. Strong business relationship management is a main driver for success in this role.

Work Location: Aurora, IL

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Establishes, communicates and evaluates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.

- Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist their direct reports in achieving enhanced performance.

- Understands the overarching company strategy while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees.

- Acts as a liaison with ALDI National Buying, National IT, and downstream departments such as supply chain management to ensure appropriate and successful results regarding team responsibilities and initiatives.

- Maintains relationships with internal national and international colleagues, as well as external partners to resolve escalated concerns.

- Provides input to their direct leader on hiring for positions reporting to them.

- Informs management of major team milestones, developments, and concerns.

- Demonstrates subject-matter-expert knowledge within area of responsibility and recommends further ideas for improvements or solutions.

- Discusses current and future initiatives with team to develop and execute appropriate strategies.

- Creates and reviews reports and makes recommendations to management.

- Completes ad-hoc projects with a high level of professionalism, thoroughness, and precision.

- Ensures department policies are considered in project solutions.

- Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.

- Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the business.

- Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.

- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field required.

- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Business or Human Resources required.

- Two years of experience in a leadership role preferred.

- Knowledge in SAP MDG, ABC Cockpit, S/4, Fiori, Ariba and P360 and buying department processes is required.

- Knowledge of EDI and ASNs preferred.

- Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

- Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.

- Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.

- Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.

- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

- Local travel required.

- Up to 10%.
