Job Summary: The Director of Human Resources will be engaged in all human resources activities at the company in North America. This includes coordination and administration of company policies relating to employment, recruiting, compensation and benefits, employee/management development, employee relations and succession planning. The successful candidate will be an insightful, hands-on experienced human resources professional whose impact will be immediate and significant in a rapidly growing business. This role requires strong leadership, customer focus, change management skills, creative problem-solving, initiative, independent judgment in decision-making, professional work ethics, effective interpersonal and presentation skills. A strong mix of experience in HR, finance, technology operations and executive leadership with a focus on HR service delivery and operations is necessary. Strong adherence to compliance and legal workplace requirements is essential. The Director of HR will be responsible and oversee the development and delivery of the following:

+ Overall Human Resource Operations

+ Compensation & Benefit Programming

+ Budgeting

+ Compliance

+ Legal

+ Policy Development

+ Process Improvements

+ Immigration

Essential Functions:

+ Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the CEO and Regional Senior Leaders in the following departments: Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations and Finance.

+ Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s human resource function performance. Manage human resource team members.

+ Translate strategic and tactical business plans into human resources policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.

+ Develop and implement a progressive and proactive benefit program within financial budget. Serve as a trustee for the 401(k) committee.

+ Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of Chervon.

+ Develop and drive staffing and headcount strategies, plans and programs to identify talent within and outside for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company. Manage employee immigration sponsorship programs with legal resources.

+ Manage the annual headcount, promotion, compensation process with senior leadership.

+ Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding of the business.

+ Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener, mentor, and problem-solver of people issues with the goal of helping to teach employees how to solve their own problems.

+ Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the organization including, employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education and career development. Manage other areas such as relocation, employee communication, employee safety and health and community relations.

+ Manage human resource budget and other financial measures of the Human Resource Department.

+ Continue improving the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization.

+ Periodic international travel including Asia is needed.

Core Competencies:

+ Prior experience in a role partnering with senior to executive leadership within a Sales/ Operations and Marketing organization.

+ Experience in a large matrix organization to navigate complex business scenarios and deliver effective HR solutions.

+ Solid understanding of global HR programs, including compensation, performance management, HR technology and talent acquisition.

+ Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for supporting and engaging with a diverse team.

+ Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and flexibility to be proactive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

+ Strong business acumen and understanding of financial planning in the HR functional area.

+ Data-driven and analytical mindset helping to guide/advise and influence stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

+ Successful candidate will at a minimum possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development or Business. Master’s degree a plus. SPHR certification a plus.

+ Sales, marketing, manufacturing experience a plus in a consumable industry.

+ Growth and diversification experience at all internal levels plus experience within an organization with many external customers, channel marketing partnerships, manufacturing growth, global strategies and industry partnerships preferred.

+ The candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of human resources management experience, having demonstrated competence in a variety of human resource functions including human resource operations, change management, organizational development, recruitment, compensation and employee relations.

+ Strong general business experience with the ability to translate business needs into an HR agenda is essential.
