Scope of Position: To ensure that TRANSCON customers are served in the managing branch; To support the TRANSCON Lead/Supervisor with meeting customer requirements for all Outbound shipments and truck dispatching, while supporting other TRANSCON team members and management when needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations:

+ Knowledge to create all Export and/or Import files.

+ Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.

+ Use Transcon Workflow and Transcon Exception reports daily.

+ Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.

+ Ensure shipments are created accurately, timely, and paperwork sent to customers and carriers.

+ CDP/CPU, LKH/LKD, EPU, XK,

+ Ensure shipments are processed accurately same day as FRD.

+ FRD, Routing, Rating, SHI’s, SHR’s, BLP, APR, APT

+ Ensure shipments are accurately routed, rated, and consoled out nightly based on customer requirements.

+ BKD, PBK, ETA, TSF, GNR, LDD, COB, XMT

+ Assist with Track and Trace TRANSCON Files and reporting.

+ Warehouse support pertaining to dock checks, validating freight, etc.

+ Interact with our customers in arranging their TRANSCON shipments, meeting customer service standards.

+ Contribute to new hire operational training.

+ Contribute to maintain good relationships with service providers.

+ Always meet compliance to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.

+ Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures.

+ Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

+ Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.

+ Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.

+ Proactively promote the company’s ten cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary.

+ Attend branch meetings and accumulate required number of training hours (52).

+ Knowledge of the Chicagoland area.

+ Six months to one-year related experience in Domestic operations.

+ Operations/Industry Knowledge preferred.

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ A proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels.

+ Effective people skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.

+ Excellent organizational skills, time management skills in addition to a professional attitude

+ Great attitude and background based on compliments from customers and coworkers.

+ Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote

+ Second shift position
