Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of new products for our Rotary Motion portfolio, and for providing engineering support to customers and to the internal organization. You will support the Product Management team by:

+ Working on new catalog projects including creating catalog pages, technical specifications, pricing tables, and dimensional tables.

+ Collaborating with the Customer Service and Procurement departments when dealing with quality claims.

+ Working with suppliers to address nonconforming products.

+ Working with customers to establish the required specifications for potential new product.

+ Working with suppliers on manufacturing requirements, packaging, pricing delivery, workflow, and first article inspection for new product development.

+ Assisting the Procurement department in vendor maintenance and research requirements.

+ Helping with maintenance and development of the company website.

+ Working with CAD data to solve quality issues

+ Working on special quotations for customers requiring components outside the catalog specifications.

+ Reviewing quote requests and determining manufacturing feasibility.

+ Providing help to the Sales department regarding technical issues and customer support.

+ Visiting, supporting, and helping maintain major Misumi accounts.

+ Creating presentation materials for customer visits, trade show seminars and webinars

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

+ 3+ years of design experience

+ Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English

+ Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

+ Knowledge of either Solidworks or Inventor 3D programs

+ Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook, Access and Powerpoint

+ Great problem-solving skills, initiative and creativity

+ Some travel is required, less than 5%
