Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator with structural steel experience. In this role, you will operate a multitude of machines, including Shear, Punch Press, Slitting, Blanking, and Press Break. Completing basic fabrication work, setups, and changeovers of machines will be part of your daily tasks. The ability to change tooling is a significant advantage. Experience with forklift and crane operations is a plus, as is Mig welding experience. The working hours for the 1st shift are either from 6am to 2:30pm or from 6am to 4:30pm if working 10-hour shifts. Weekend work is limited. The starting pay is between $18 and $22 with room for advancement.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lansing, Illinois.

Work Environment

You will be working in a mid-sized steel manufacturing company that creates and fabricates structural support for large commercial and industrial buildings. The facility is filled with large beams, machines, and welding booths. You will be expected to fabricate and assemble sections for projects before shipment.
